Tax shelters allow high-net-worth individuals and corporations to avoid fair payments to mutual funds. The Tax Justice Network is an independent international organization that fights for fair tax systems and for international regulation that prevents tax evasion. Alex Cobham, economist and director of the Tax Justice Network, gives a talk on tax shelters and their effects. He also tells about ways to ensure that government support to companies due to the Covid crisis does not go to tax shelters and about the necessary reforms to ensure fair tax collection.
