Executive Director
Kristín is the first manager of Värda. She has a BA degree in psychology and an M.Sc. degree in natural resources. Kristín previously worked as the executive director of the Akureyri Academy and as a part-time teacher at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Akureyri.

Maya Staub
Specialist
Maya works as an expert at Värda. She has a BA degree in sociology from the University of Iceland, an MA degree in sociology from the University of Potsdam, Germany and a PhD in sociology from the University of Iceland. After completing her master's degree, Maya worked as a researcher and part-time teacher at the Department of Sport and Health Sociology at the University of Potsdam, and during her doctoral studies she taught part-time at the University of Iceland and the University of Akureyri.
